Graduating UC San Diego visual arts media with an emphasis in film. David Yang was born on the island of Saipan, Northern Marianas Islands. Growing up in a multi-cultural environment near the deepest trench in the world, where he spent most of his years bathing in the sun and riding ATVs in the jungle before coming to San Diego. He was also a video production member of Marianas High School. During his childhood he also spent five years studying in Shanghai, China. A city he grew to love despite getting squeezed on public transportation because there are so many people. He is fluent in both Mandarin and English. Mostly he spends a lot of time watching movies and TV series along with making them and doing escape rooms with his friends when he can.
As a profession he creates commercial content for companies and organizations. A photographer and independent filmmaker. He has worked on a multitude of Commercials, Music Videos, Indie Features, and written award winning independent short films. Currently he is based in Southern California and travels around the US on different projects.
